Hi, I'm Crystal!
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 16 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and transitions. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, self-understanding, and feeling supported through difficult seasons of life.
I began my career in Community Mental Health, where I worked with children, teens, young adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. Those experiences shaped my approach as a therapist and continue to inform the compassionate, collaborative care I provide today.
Over the years, I have developed a special passion for maternal mental health. I support individuals through the many emotional and relational changes that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood, including anxiety, depression, identity shifts, overwhelm, and the challenges of balancing it all. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered as they move through this important stage of life.
I also enjoy working with couples who want to strengthen their connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, or reconnect during times of transition. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply want to create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship, I strive to help partners better understand one another and build lasting change together.
When I'm not in the therapy office, you'll usually find me outdoors, reading a good book, or spending time with family and friends. I especially love going on adventures with my daughter, and we're always up for a great living room dance party.
My Approach
I work from a Family Systems perspective, understanding that each individual is deeply connected to their relationships and environment. I also use Evidence-Based Practices, including:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reframe negative thought patterns.
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and interpersonal skills.
-
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to strengthen the parent-child relationship and address behavioral concerns.
Therapy is a collaborative journey. I walk alongside my clients, attuning to their needs and creating a safe, supportive space for growth and healing. I value inclusivity and affirm the diverse, intersectional identities of every individual and family I work with. My goal is to empower clients to navigate challenges with resilience and confidence.
